CXMAS 2009 Spokecard

Due to the fact that spoke cards ain't cheap and a whole lot of you stellar people showed up yesterday we ran out of spokecards. We're not printing any more, but you can. Click on the little pic and save the big one. Feel free to do with it whatever you want.

And, if you want to pretend to be cool and pretend you were there when you weren't, we can't stop you from putting one on your bike, but deep down you really know you aren't worthy.

2009 CXMAS Results

With the last minute course changes and the markings lost to snow and ____?, I will not put up a detailed tally of the results. Here are the big ones and the only ones I am confident with and would not change if things were fixed/redone. Plus they already got their hats.

1st: Devin "I can beat you after riding a Huffy" Clark
2nd: Mitch "The Masher/Knows how to slam eggnog" Johnson
3rd: Trent "I don't know you well enough to give you a nickname" Donat
1st SS: Nico "you all got served by a fixed gear" Toscani
1st Woman: Sarah "Me and Trent have the same nickname?" Worthington

Oh Snap! We Forgot: CXMAS the gift that keeps on giving...

After most of you non-racers left we realized we forgot some very key prizes that were still at the eggnog station. We're not jerks, at least not to people we don't know, so here it is:

ICCC very generously gave 4 $20 gift certificates for The Hub Bicycle Company in Webster Groves. Merry CXMAS from ICCC!

Using a random number generator we drew four numbers. Those people need to email me (gds976 at hotmail dot com) by December 27, 2009 to let me know they're claiming them. If not I'll draw new numbers for whatever remains.
Winners:
59: Christian Stitz
52: Josh Knopp
122: Steve Reed
132: My notes say "Zee", who I think is Zdenek Palecek

Also Mike Bobelak contributed a very nice set of Polk speakers. We gave those to the fine gentleman that is Bob Jenkins for consuming 15 servings of eggnog. Would you have consumed 15 servings of eggnog for a set of speakers? Neither would I. Bob didn't even know about the speakers. He only did it because he's Bob Jenkins and that's how he rolls.

Notice the eggnog puke from a couple of miles down course:

Time Draws Near

Click for the latest Saint Charles weather forecast.

Just a reminder that USA Cycling has nothing to do with CXMAS. I'm sure its the best for all of us. That does mean that your CXMAS race official(s) are easily motivated/influenced/bribed. Want a better start position? Want to hinder your buddies start? Show up in the holiday spirit or in the spirit of CXMAS and you just might get your CXMAS wish.
